The overnight Nielson ratings have been posted and American Gladiators had 5.61 Million viewers tuning in to see the Hulked out Episode 4. Ratings were up more than 500K viewers from the previous weeks mark of 5.05 million viewers. So far Episode 4 is the highest rated show with viewership increasing each of the past two weeks. Lets hope this keeps up and NBC keeps this show around for Season 3.

I’m really surprised more people aren’t watching this. It’s great escapism. I think it’s more universally appealing than other, far more popular mindless fare, like dancing with the stars or American Idol. I know little kids who love it, older people who like it for its sports-like feel, and both men and women can enjoy it equally without real embarrassment, because it has action and heart.
As for me, I think its fun, but I also like it ironically, which is how most people in my 18-24 y/o demographic feel.
More people need to watch!
