In case you haven’t heard, NBC has come up with a concept that allows fans of American Gladiators to square off for a chance to win an official autographed Joust Stick and other top prizes. Using an interactive social gaming application on Facebook, users can exchange blows with gladiators, their friends and the entire Facebook community.

“This innovative game offers viewers the chance to enhance their gladiator experience by indulging in a full-spectrum fantasy competition that will challenge their minds but fortunately, leave them relatively unbruised,” NBC chief John Miller said in a statement.

Aimed to deliver a highly engaging personalized experience, the official American Gladiators challenge allows players to compete as many times as they want in any of the three Gladiator challenges and then challenge their friends on Facebook to top their time and earn points. The interactive application also consists of a personalized dashboard of all gaming activity including scores, status, challenges and a real-time leader board. Moreover, the application features a record of all pending and past challenges including links to detailed results pages where users can “talk smack” as well as a badge that displays on their profile showing off present scores and ranks.
