Celebrity Family Feud that is… Titan, Venom, Laila Ali, Wolf and Jet make up Team “American Gladiators.” Although not announced yet, they should be appearing soon in the NBC rejuvenated game show against Team “The Office.” Last night (Tuesday), the premiere episode pitted 4 of the 24 teams against each other. Al Roker of Today Show fame is the host of this updated classic. During each episode four celebrity families will be pitted against each other in the tournament style competition, with the winner from each round moving to the final round , where they will compete to win $50,000 for their charity. Tune in to see if Team AG has the brains to go with their beauty and brawn!

The Boston Herald wrote a short bio article on Mike O’Hearn, better known as Titan, a week ago. In this piece, O’Hearn shares what his former Gladiator name was when he was an alternate in the early 90s (Thor, not much of a stretch there). He also shares that his idol growing up was none other than the governor of California himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

For those of you who are Mike O’Hearn (aka Titan) fans, emorywheel.com has put together a background story titled the “Renaissance Muscleman.”  It goes down a little bit of an editorial rant at the end but it does shed some more light on Mr. O’Hearn’s life leading up to his American Gladiators gig.

The photo above has been leaked to the net a little earlier then NBC would have liked although they are releasing all the details and photos about the new show within the next few weeks.  Shown above is the new Gaunlet with Mike O’Hearn aka ‘Titan’ and two other new gladiators that are unidentified.  I have also been hearing a few of the events like Joust and The Wall for the new show will include water below each to break gladiators and contestants falls.  A higher-res photo is below.  Enjoy….

With the taping of the show already underway and a full studio audience on hand you knew some details were going to get out even though no cameras or phones are aloud into the studio.  The Gladiators names were picked up by some of the audience members and posted across the net, it looks like we are going to have 12 Gladiators.  The Gladiators names are Helga, Siren, Fury, Venom, Wolf, Justice, Toa, Titan, Stealth, Mayhem, Militia and Blast.  It’s really just a matter of time before all the details come out on who the Gladiators are and what names go with each.
