Various sources around the net are reporting Al Kaplon, retired professional umpire among other things will referee the new American Gladiators. Alan Kaplon has been a professional Major League Baseball umpire, been in TV commercials, televsion shows and movies including ‘Dodgeball’ and ‘61*’. He seems like a logical choice with his professional MLB experience along with his extensive televison and movie roles. For more information on Al Kaplon check out his biography page.

Here is the first official video preview of the new American Gladiators TV show that will begin airing on NBC January 6th of next year. The Gladiators look to be a little more sophisticated with their costumes and appearances. Below I have typed out what the Narrator says in the video, yes I have no life.
